HDL’s Software Engineer Bikash
It’s time to present our next employee here at Helsingborg Design LAB, Bikash! In this post we’re getting to know him a little better.
Hey Bikash! Tell us a little about yourself, who are you and what do you do on your free time?
Hey guys! My name is Bikash and i graduated in computer science from Chandigarh University in India and went straight to Hazesoft after that. I’m a big food-lover and when i’m free from work and hungry i love to try the local food here. I really enjoy trying new food and the local food here is amazing. I also like to watch different movies when I’m free from work and also take a ride with my bike.
What’s your titel here at Helsingborg Design LAB and what is your main tasks?
I work as a Software Engineer here at Helsingborg Design LAB and my main tasks is to implement react and design in projects. My day can also be about designing and creating computer systems, web applications and involves a lot of coding. We handle several software projects, develop new code and collaborate with colleagues to solve problems. I also spend time revising and rewriting other people’s code as needed. Building prototypes for customers is another common task. This means understanding the customer’s expectations and developing prototypes accordingly. I also collaborate with project managers, UI or UX designers, computer scientists and other team members.
How does a normal working day look like for you as HDL’s Software Engineer?
I wake up around 8 am and gets up to make me a cup of tea, check my social medias and e-mail, then i start to work at 9 am. The first thing i do on my working days are to check up on my to do list from the day before, if something needs to be done during the day. If the to do list is empty i set up a new list for the day and check if something needs to be prioritized. During the day, I fix, among other things, implement React and design in various projects until I finish at 18. I often add a few hours at work during the evening if something needs to be fixed or do more research around.
