HDL’s DevOps Giri

It’s time to introduce the next employee here at Helsingborg Design LAB, our DevOps Giri Raj B.C!

Hi Giri, tell us a little about yourself! Who are you and what do you like to do in your spare time?

I am a passionate Linux lover. I would like to call myself a self-motivated person, always enthusiastic to create crazy ideas. I like to learn new technologies related to my career in my spare time. Rather than I love to travel to different destinations, explore different places and enjoy life!

What are your main tasks as DevOps here at Helsingborg Design LAB?

My main tasks as DevOps are designing a version control strategy, implementing and integrating source control, implementing and managing build infrastructure. Also writing a bash script as per the requirements and I am using containerization and automation technology.

What does a normal working day look like for you as HDL’s DevOps?

On a daily basis, I both like and have to do a lot of automation stuff. To build and run the project I mostly use a docker container and kubernetes for the orchestration. Similarly, since a CI/CD pipeline is most necessary, I like to decorate it so that the project can be easily built and deployed in one go. In addition, I do a lot of troubleshooting, maintenance and continuously try to keep the server up.
